AMpWed, 22 Aug 2012 03:55:56 -040055Wednesday 14, 2009 by Grade56neighbourhood blog

Today our Grade 5′s visited the brilliant digital literacy website The Literacy Shed which is created by Rob Smith. (As mentioned in a previous post). Our class blog is one of the world wide blogs featured. We took the opportunity to investigate class blogs featured fom other countries and wrote comments. It was interesting that some of the girls (without teacher assistance) used Google Translator to read a blog fom South Africa that was written in Africaans.

Hallo there! Thank you for reading my Afrikaans blog. I was so surprised ;o)
I know that there are many Afrikaans speaking (or other South Africans) living in Oz and they speak highly of your beautiful country.
Keep well and pop in any time you’d like.
    Kind regards,
