SHOULD MORE OLD GROWTH FORESTS BE OPENED FOR LOGGING?

To a state that’s famous for its forests and the timber that comes from them. Tasmanians have seen a lot of debate over the years between supporters of the logging industry and people that think more forests should be off-limits. And the fight isn’t over. The state’s new government wants to give the logging industry a boost to create more jobs but that’s made some pretty angry.

I think that they shouldn’t be allowed to log old growth for sets because they are really old and they represent tasmania basically because tasmania made there money of logging. Now the reason they are logging old growth forests because there are mostly old growth forests to log so I think that the solution is that they should grow and plant more trees.

NO! we should leave the forests as is, if we cut down old growths just think of all the carbon we will be letting out in to the environment and global warming is a big issue. the tourism that Tassie’s old growths could make and moe.ny
